As a Leader of your leadership team have you created the time, space and energy necessary for your team to grow?
Creating and holding the space for growth is the most important thing you can choose to do as a conscious leader...
We all want to think that we're on a growth journey and that we've got a growth mindset, partly because suggesting to others or owning up to ourselves that there are elements of our lives that we approach with a fixed mindset sounds a bit rubbish.
Maybe we think we're on a growth journey but actually we just want the result... and we want it now!
The irony is that when we face the truth - that growth is hard, it becomes much easier because we take the pressure off ourselves.
As leaders we benefit from learning to recognise that change (of any form) is energy hungry. This means we need to learn to pay close attention to ourselves and others who are with us on the journey.
The work then becomes about not simply creating the space, but holding the space for growth.
If you are a leader that is serious about growth, and let's face it who isn't! We need to make sure we are consciously creating AND holding the space for growth to happen.
